This set of variations on the American spiritua "Were You There?"l was commissioned by the "The Brass" for their tour of churches in Southern British Columbia, during the 2010 Easter season. The work can be played as a continuous piece in concert or in a worship service, or the variations can be played separately at various points of an Easter or other service. It is for a Brass Sextet made up of: 2 Trumpets, Flugelhorn, 2 Trombones and Tuba (alternate Horn provided for Trumpet 2)
