Brian Bindner - CEO and Founder

          

 

Brian has been a Trombone player at The Royal Danish Opera ( 1992-2006) and The Danish National Symphony Orchestra ( 2006 - present ). Brian has arranged for amateur ensembles and proffesional brass musicians since 1992 with great succes, balancing time between his Family, arranging music and playing Trombone full time.

 

 

Lars M.B. Olsen - Arranger


          

 

Born in 1971 in Roskilde, Denmark. Also Educated at the Royal Danish School of Music, Copenhagen. Tuba player at the Slegsvigske Regiment Orchestra, located in Haderslev, Denmark. Lars has done numerous arrangements for different brass ensembles. He is also a busy conductor.

Tobias Rägle - Arranger


 

Tobias Rägle was born in Neuenbürg/Germany 1974. He first trained as a brass instrument maker and went on to study trombone with Prof. Abbie Conant at Trossingen State College of Music in southern Germany. After several years as bass trombonist with Dresden State Operetta he now occupies the same position at Ulm Theatre (Ulm Philharmonic Orchestra). He is also conductor and main arranger of “Blechlabor” (www.blechlabor.de), a professional brass ensemble whose arrangements are available exclusively through Brassmusiconline.

 

 

Henrik Madsen - Arranger


 

 Henrik has graduated from The Royal Danish academy of Music, Copenhagen - as a musical pedagogue and performer. Henrik is a very busy arranger, and is the "master mind" behind "Semper Quintus"´s arrangements.

 

 

Gordon Cherry - Cherry Publishing 


          

 

Gordon Cherry was born in Toronto Canada. Taking up the Trombone at age 11 he quickly progressed & performed with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada for 4 summers. He graduated from the Eastman School of Music with a Bachelor of Music degree in Trombone performance having studied with the legendary teacher Emory Remington. After performing with the National Arts Center Orchestra for 4 seasons he won the position of Principal Trombone in the Vancouver Symphony, a position he held till 2009. Gordon taught for 33 seasons at the University of British Columbia and the Academy of Music. As well, he performed for 34 seasons with the C.B.C. Radio Orchestra.

He is currently runs Cherry Classics Music, a brass music publisher & distributor. Since retiring from the Symphony he enjoys performing solo recitals with his wife Joyce a Pianist.

 

 

 

Stefan Kaundinya - Arranger


 

Stefan Kaundinya studied tuba with Ulrich Haas (Folkwanghochschule Duisburg), Prof. Walter Hilgers (University of Music Weimar) and Stefan Heimann (Musikhochschule Stuttgart). He was a member of several youth orchestras, had Praktikant or temporary contracts at the Essen Philharmonic, the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra and the Radio Symphony Orchestra Saarbrücken. From 2003 to 2007 he was employed by the Police Band of Baden-Wuerttemberg. He´s a member and organizer of the ensemble Elbeblech, and is also the founder of the music publishing company Blechpresse.de

 

 

Dean W. Smith - Arranger 


 

Senior Master Sergeant Dean W. Smith is the staff arranger with the         United States Air Force Band of Mid-America. He is also a trombonist and has performed with the Concert Band, Ceremonial Band, and the Shades of Blue Jazz Ensemble. 

 

Robert S. Cohen - Composer


 

Robert S. Cohen has written music for orchestra, chamber ensemble, dance and theatre. He has been the recipient of many awards and commissions, including a New Jersey State Council on the Arts Fellowship, an American Music Center Grant, a Meet the Composer Award and several grants from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation and was the selected winner of the 2008 N.Y. Composer's Circle Award.

 

 

Artūrs Grāvītis - Arranger


 

Born 1976 in Riga, Latvia. Educated at Emīls Dārziņš Music Secondary School and Riga Childrens` Music School. Most of his musical activities are related to Riga Secondary School No 6, where the Youth Wind Orchestra “Auseklītis” has its base. Artūrs is principal trumpet at the YWO “Auseklītis” as well as cornet player at the Latvian Brass Band. Artūrs has arranged for brass quintet since 2010, when the Brass Quintet “Harmony Brass” was founded. His arrangements have been appreciated by many professionals and listeners around the world.

 

 

Dwight Tibbetts


 

Trumpeter Dwight Tibbetts recieved a Bachelor of Music degree in music education from the University of Southern Maine. He has his Masters in Music from the American Band College in Ashland, Oregon. He was a recipient of the Willie Maiden Award for excellence in composition and arranging. Dwight has taught instrumental music in grades five through twelve for thirty-two years in Augusta, Maine. He has performed throughout Maine, most recently with the Manchester Brass Quintet. Dwight has studied with Chuck Winfield (formerly of Blood, Sweat and Tears), John Foss, and Dr.Tim Weir (lead player from the University of Miami). He has been coached by members of the Canadian Brass, Fred Shautter (principal trumpeter of the Oregon Symphony), and Allen Vizzutti. Also an accomplished pianist, Dwight arranges most of the music performed by the Downeast Brass.

 

 

Ben Tibbetts - Composer


 

Ben Tibbetts is a musician working in the area of Amherst, Massachusetts. His skills include music composition and piano performance. In 2011, Ben graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a B.M. in Music Theory. He is currently pursuing his M.M. in Music Composition at the University of Massachussetts. Ben has studied music composition since 2004 under the tutelage of Salvatore Macchia, John Heiss, Lori Dobbins, Christopher Kies, Michael Annicchiarico, Andrew Boysen and Vineet Shende (reverse order).
