Benedictus, from The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace

Benedictus has a beautiful, slow melodic line which is stated very simply and in a flowing manner. The piano part compliments the euphonium nicely. This arrangement is more of a duet, rather than a solo instrument with piano accompaniment. Very well done.

Benedictus by Jenkins for Trombone and Piano Arrangement

I have played this and waiting for an opportunity to play it with one of my children who plays piano. I did play it with my cornonet playing brother. This version is in a little lower key than the original so is easier to do on the high end of the note range, still a bit of a stretch, but that's the nature of the composition.
I used the pay and download option, so had the music right away.
Thanks. I would recommend you to others.

Benedictus - from The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace - by Karl Jenkins ( 1944 ) - arranged for Trombone or Euphonium and Piano by Brian Bindner.

The Armed Man is a Mass by Welsh composer Karl Jenkins, subtitled "A Mass for Peace". The piece was commissioned by the Royal Armouries Museum for the Millennium celebrations, and to mark the museum's move from London to Leeds, and it was dedicated to victims of the Kosovo crisis. Like Benjamin Britten's War Requiem before it, it is essentially an anti-war piece and is based on the Catholic Mass.Benedictus is a beatiful and almost "zen" like hymn, extracted from the mass. A great choice for any recital or church concert.
