Saint-Saëns, Camille – Pas Redoublé Military Quickstep for Brass Quintet.
This work was written for in 1887 for Piano 4-hands, but has really found its niche in a famous concert band arrangement by Arthur Frackenpohl. The tempo is quick and the style is light and lively. One can just picture the troops clicking down the parade route to this spunky music.
David Mathie has captured the essence of this 5 minute work for advanced performers.
