Details

Schumann, Robert – Adagio and Allegro, Opus 70 for Tenor Trombone and Piano.

Originally written for Cello and Piano, Opus 70 was edited by Schumann for the Horn in 1849. The original title of the work was Romance and Allegro and is one of the first major works of importance for the valve horn.

In arranging this work for Tenor Trombone, Mr. Morales-Matos has transposed the key down a third into F major from A-flat making the highest note a D.

• This exquisite, expressive and virtuoso work is about 9 minutes in length and suitable for advanced performers.
